History

Welcome to The Stiglitz Corp., Inc. Established in 1818, The Stiglitz Corporation specializes in the stamping, powder coating and assembly areas for many different industries. Our primary customers are currently in the appliance industry; more recently expanding into the automotive industry.

The ability to assemble parts for distribution from the UPS hub makes Stiglitz an excellent candidate to assemble and distribute your product with the most reasonable shipping rates.

In 1882, Charles George Stiglitz started a foundry in downtown Louisville Kentucky. The foundry survived until his son, C.G. Stiglitz, Jr. acquired Bridgeford and Co., taking the company history back to 1818.

Charles Jr. had five sons enter into the business. Under the leadership of Everad Stiglitz, the company prospered. In 1949, Everad Stiglitz led the company from the foundry era of manufacturing appliances into the sheet metal era.

In 1953, with his only son, Everad Jr., Everad bought out his brothers; the father and son team continued to lead the company. This leadership was handed over to Everad Jr. in 1961 at the death of Everad Sr.

Everad Jr. continued to lead the company with our own line of appliances until 1968, when Stiglitz Corp. parted relationship with Sears, Stiglitz Corp. had manufactured gas space heaters for Sears. The end of that relationship signaled the end of another era of manufacturing history and the beginning of the current business of servicing the stamping, powder coating and assembly needs of customers in the regional area.

This service continues under the leadship of Douglas E. Stiglitz, Great-Great Grand Son of the founder, Charles George and only son of Everad Jr.
